Take the Train to Arlington
Even though most people drive to Arlington International Rack Track, some folks in Chicago and distant suburbs have the opportunity to take the train right to the track.
Waiting Room Hours are: 5:00A.M.-1:00 P.M.
You may purchase tickets on the train also.
It's the Union Pacific Northwest Line.
For schedule and fare information:
If in Chicago, you can catch the Union Pacific Northwest Line at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. The train will take you to the Arlington Park Station, and it's a short walk or a shuttle bus drive to the Clubhouse.
Where I live, that train line does not run. Otherwise, I would gladly take the train, which is less of a hassle.
For those who cannot take the train, Arlington Park is located at Euclid Avenue and Wilke Road in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The track is one-quarter mile east of IL Route 53 and is accessible by taking the Euclid Avenue East exit from Route 53.
To or From Chicago
Many people work in or visit Chicago. The MARTA (train) will take you there, or if you are in Chicago and are inspired by my page, will bring you here. Like everything in Arlington Heights the trainstation is very picturesque and clean.
Ride a bike
Arlington Heights is so picturesque, it should be enjoyed at a slower pace. Get out of your car and walk or ride a bike. This picture shows a parking hut for bicycles when you want to leave your wheels and use your feet.
Fly into O'Hare -- not Midway
O'Hare Intenational Airport (ORD) is a short ride from Arlington Heights. My friends flew into Midway, and had a long trek across town.
