I have to admit, eating here was the most fun I've had in a restaurant outside of clown makeup!

The big neon sign on top of the tropical style building boldly says "EAT AT JOES" Do what the man says, you will not be disappointed. The decor in the restaurant is mixed with tropical, seafaring and antique tom-foolery...complete with a bib wearing shark to greet you at the door. Even the tables had interesting tidbits and humor laquered in. Our table had a South Carolina Bank Note, issued before the National Banking Act of 1864...but that's another story.

The staff is very friendly and will do what they can to make it fun. Breaking for the occassional song and dance, which the entire staff joined in...to creating unique birthday memories. There was a young man there at the time...it was his fifteenth birthday. He had told the waitress that he always wanted to be a cowboy. Out came a cowboy hat and stick horse, so he could trot around the restaurant in his newly found coboydom! Boy, we were laughing our heads off, cheering him on with "YeeHas and You Can Do It's".

Favorite Dish: OK. Now the good stuff. The Mai Tai, though not being drunk in a tropical paradise...really were delicous.

There are two "world famous" dishes you gotta try. The crab dip, served with tortillas, was incredible. And the crab balls...scrumptious!

The guys chose the Crab Daddy platter...dungeness, snow and king crab legs, steamed, garlic or BBQ. They had them garlic steamed. I knew exactly what I wanted...King Crab legs. WOW!

We were stupid enough to think we could get desert in after this feast, but we tried. Brownie sundaes, banana fosters and key lime pie will leave your tastebuds hopping.
