The easiest way to get to Champaign is by car. I have made the drive from 3 different directions:
From Chicago and the north, take I-57 South. It is a couple hours drive from Chicago.
From Indianapolis and the east, take I-74 west and exit at Lincoln Avenue south in Urbana.
From the St. Louis and the south, take I-70 east to I-57 north. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Champaign-Urbana finds itself to be quite a transportation hub. It is easy to get to Champaign via plane, train, bus, or automobile. There is the Willard Airport, which has regional access to Chicago. Amtrak has access through Champaign, and can connect to Chicago, Indianapolis, New Orleans, and many other rgional cities. Greyhound also has a station here, and of course, several major interstates flow through the area.
In addition to helping you get to Champaign, these are also great resources to help escape as well.

With relatively flat terrain, well-marked streets, and little traffic, Champaign is a great place to bike around. It is an easy bike ride to most places in the area, and you're rarely 15 minutes from downtown or any extremity you would like. I highly recommend using biking as an efficient, relaxing, and fun way to get around town. Plus, it beats trying to find parking!!! Theme: Bicycle
