Bubba Gump's Shrimp Company, Chicago

A theme restaurant, Bubba Gump's is like Hard Rock Cafe, except with all Forrest Gump movie memorabilia instead of music. The waitstaff are great and the theme of the restaurant makes for a fun dining experience. This is highly recommended.

Favorite Dish: They have several excellent seafood pasta dishes to choose from. You can also try the sampler bucket with several different types of fish, including (of course), peel and eat shrimp!

The restaurant is famous for the relationship with the movie "Forrest Gump". All the decorations there are related to the story. And the waiter will give you a quiz on the movie. Enjoy your time and the shrimp is delicious!!

Favorite Dish: Every kind of Shimp is fine!

This restaurant was conveniently located on Navy Pier, and had yummy seafood specialties, such as the "Bucket of Boat Trash" (various seafood all cooked together and served in a bucket with fries). Great atmosphere for kids! The servers walk around and ask trivia questions about Forrest Gump and you get prizes and extras (free drink, etc.) if you get them right.

Yes, it's a chain. Nevertheless, the food was great and surroundings were fun.

Service was excellent -- I loved those "Stop, Forrest! Stop!" signs. They really worked.

I can't imagine there is anybody who haven't seen (or at least heard about) the movie "Forrest Gump." Just in case -- this restaurant is using themes from that movie.

Favorite Dish: Shrimp Po' Boy -- tender juicy shrimp, crispy bun, mmmmmmmm....

Lemonade -- sweet and tangy! Excellent!

But this was a pleasant suprise. Standard fare, but a very fun atmosphere and the staff was EXCELLENT.
