This is something like what you would see out of "Happy Days."
An old style diner, Ed's has burgers to modern dishes at a casual atmosphere. The waitstaff are fun and the food is good. A good place for families.

The food is basic diner food but it was all very tastey. However the atmosphere is what you go to Ed Debevic's for. The wait staff is so very fun. They're aren't exatly mean but more real. For instance when we asked for a refill on our soda our waiters response was "don't you see my hands are full, if you have to have it now get it yourself othewise I'll get to you when I can!" At first thought you think you wouldn't want to be spoken to like that but it's all in playful fun. It's a very fun place to visit.

Ed Debevic's is a 1950's style hamburger joint where the staff is supposed to act rude. Music from the 50's-70's plays, the servers dance on tables, and crazy signs and pictures decorate the walls. There are lots of different varieties of burgers available and they aren't too bad, either.
It is more popular with kids. When I was younger I liked going here but the whole act has worn off. It was definitely fun as a kid. If you have kids and they want to go somewhere for lunch then this is the place. The best part is, you don't have to worry about them acting up. If I spent a day downtown with my little cousins, I would bring them to Ed's.
Valet parking is available. Hours are:
Monday - Thursday 11am - 9pm
Friday & Saturday 11am - 11pm
Sunday 11am - 10pm
Ed's is also open for breakfast from 9am - 11am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Favorite Dish: Any burger is worth a try, and the shakes are good.

'Completing the diner atmosphere, Ed's servers are all costumed characters including greasers, jocks, sock-hop dancers and nerds. Music fills the restaurant while the servers dance on the diner counter to rock 'n roll hits such as 'Shake a Tail-Feather' and 'Rock Around the Clock'.'

Favorite Dish: I like the meatloaf, which is what the place is known for. The milkshakes are the best!

Ed DeBevic's, Arnie's (back in the old days), Hamburger Hamlet, Angus Steakhouse, many others too numerous to mention
Ed DeBevic's wins hands down for atmosphere, especially if you take the kids.
Favorite Dish: Nothing special, just great American cuisine.

Ed Debivic's for the rudeness, the bad clothes, and the waitstaff with attitude. Its where we always take first time visitors.
50's diner kitsch is retro cool--my kids like it, grown-ups like it.
Favorite Dish: Chicken fried steak, I know its bad for you but you might as well eat what you like. Finish it off with a hot fudge sundae!

Ed Debevic's is another really fun restaurant. It is a 50's atmosphere, totally cluttery and full of crazy stuff. The best thing at Ed Debevic's is the servers. They dress totally crazy, dance around, and are known for being really snotty to everybody. It's really amusing. You expect the service to be good, but also for them to be rude and snotty with you! It is fun.
Service is straight-forward, snotty, sassy, rude, and hilarious all at the same time. And they dance!
There slogan is 'Eat and Get Out'
and 'Insult the Customer'
It is really funny- but you've got to know how to have fun!
Favorite Dish: Route 66 Chicken Sandwich or Route 66 Burger.
And you MUST finish your meal off with 'The Worlds Smallest Fudge Sundae.'
do it- you'll see what I mean.

The servers at this restaurant make their tips by insulting you and your guests. It is pretty immusing. It is a really touristy restaurant, but a good time.
Favorite Dish: You don't really go there for the food.

Ed Debevic's is a cute, unique place to eat.
All the wait staff dresses in character and there are occasional contests, dancing, and regular craziness going on around.
