It’s a fun place to eat and visit but I’d go elsewhere. I travel all over the world collecting HRC shot glasses. You don’t travel to Chicago to eat skins and a burger. Grab a slice or 4. That being said it’s a great place to look around and grab a drink
Favorite Dish: skins and the mac and cheese
Just some straight up good American food. Not feelin adventurous with your culinary tastes? Stick to the good ol' burger and fries here and you can't go wrong.
Favorite Dish: Burger, fries and a beer... you just can't go wrong.
I am a big fan of the Hard Rock Cafe - I collect the pins, I like the food. I choose my vacation destinations based on their proximity to a Hard Rock. So I was excited to find the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago to be about 2 blocks from my hotel. I coerced my friend to walk with me to check it out, let me buy some pins, and maybe have a meal.
We get there and the place is packed. This is not unusual for a Hard Rock Cafe, but even at full capacity, I have NEVER IN 20 YEARS waited longer than 20 minutes for a table. The host quoted us an hour! We said never mind, and went to the Rock Shop, dropped about $100 on pins, perused the walls of memorabilia.
After about 15 minutes, the place had emptied out (must have been several large parties who left all at once), so we walked over to the host again to ask about a table. He again quoted us an hour! Seriously?? Half the restaurant was empty! When we pointed out to him the empty tables, he amended his timeframe to 45 minutes.
We declined and left. It was disappointing to say the least, and my very first negative experience with the Hard Rock.
Favorite Dish: I know what is good at the other Cafe's at which I have eaten, but since I didn't eat here, I can't say... :-(
I always make a point to stop at the Hard Rock Cafe in every city that I visit. This one did not disappoint! Great location and awesome memorabilia collection. Like many restaurants in Chicago you have to pay to park, so if you are driving be prepared to pay $10-$20 for parking depending on the day and the time.
Modern caffe with a great atmosphere to start a long night. Lively Chicago streets are just inviting you to spend some nice time outiside. "Love All, Serve All" is the motto that captures the spirit of the Hard Rock Cafe Chicago.
Favorite Dish: Lots of nice and tasty things to try!!
You´re looking something American and tastey then this is the place for you. You can wonder around and look the famous peoples stuff while the chef is prepareing you a meal.
Favorite Dish: I tried the chicken and ribb combo and found it really good. The pasta was also nice, but nothing could beat the tastey ribbs!
We did get to go to Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago. It was a large one. We were in Chicago the same time the world soccer games were there and there were several soccer players in the restaurant at the same time we were.
Favorite Dish: HOMEMADE HRC NACHOS - Fresh corn tortilla chips piled high with Jack and cheddar cheese, homemade seasoned pinto beans and served with sour cream and jalapenos. And of course; available with homemade guacamole.
It you are there on Thursday night, you might catch a local band playing. When i was there, the Doloreans band was playing that night. www.thedeloreans.com
