Cafe Iberico serves up authentic spanish tapas and has sangria that is out of this world along wish delicious spanish wines. The decor looks like it came directly from Spain. The music can be a drowning at times but has great atmosphere. They do not take reservations so be prepared for a long wait for a table during prime dinner hours (and spanish dinner hours). If you are waiting, do your friends a favor and order a pitcher of sangria as you wait. The time will fly by This is a great place to go with a group of friends and share a bunch of appetizer sized dishes. The paella here is top-notch. Be sure to order it early in the evening because it takes about 45 minutes to prepare it.
Patatas Bravas - Potatoes in a spicy tomato sauce Tortilla espana - A frittata like omelet of potato and eggs Paella Valencia - A national dish of Spain. Arborio rice infused with saffron, chicken, pork, shrimp, mussels, clams. They also have different varieties of paella to choose from on the menu. I have no idea what dessert tastes like as I am already too full from the rest of the meal Leave a Comment Theme: OtherPrice: US$21-30 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 739 N. This isn't your sombrero-wearing, enchilidada-eating, frozen margarita-drinking mexican restaurant. Frontera Grill and Topolobambo serve fine Mexican cuisine created by Rick Bayless who has travelled all over Mexico discovering the cuisine. This fine Mexican dining will give you a new appreciation for the complexity of flavors, balance of spice and subtleities that are beyond the typical Mexican experience.
Everything is delicious here!!! Try it all. Have the waiter shake up a margarita in front of you. It is quite a treat! Leave a Comment Theme: MexicanPrice: US$31-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: 445 N. Clark St.Phone: 312-661-1434Directions: River North

The Phoenix restaurant provides white table cloth dining and excellent service for dim sum with a variety of dishes to try. Women push carts and proclaim what dishes they are serving. Yes they are saying it in Chinese but you can always wave them over and they will be happy to show you what it is. The dishes you try are tallied onto a score card like menu. Order a pot of tea with your dim sum meal. The noodle house caters to a younger crowd but still offers the dim sum served in the upper dining room. The noodle house also sells the ever so popular bubble teas and fruit smoothie with tapioca beverages
The Taiwanese pot sticker is delicious and a surprise. It has a delicious broth inside the wrapping and tastes great with fresh ginger and rice wine vinegar. The sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf Shrimp spring rolls We also order a larger entree of flat rice noodles with beef and chinese brocoli. If you are still hungry there is a great steamed sponge cake. If you are thristy, my favorite beverage to take with me on the go is a mango smoothie. The ambiance and atmosphere of this restaurant has a worldly feel. Reza's serves Mediterranean cuisine and attracts many different types of people. The food is always fresh and delicious. It is also mindful for those who are vegetarian. There is a separate kitchen for vegetarian entrees. The wait staff is attentive to the diner and accomodates to your requests and questions. I always know that I will be treated well at this restaurant and that I am dining at an incredible value.
Every table is given a basket of pita and a plate of feta, radishes and parsley compliments of the house. You are also served a tomato/parsley/barley soup which is delicious before you have even ordered your entree. They have a huge selection of appetizers: falafel, dolmades, hummus, sauteed mushrooms in a lemon garlic sauce (my favorite). As an entree, I like getting the lamb chops or the salmon with roasted vegetables. Both are delicious. My friend enjoys the roasted duck breast in pomegrante sauce. Each entree comes with a plate of jasmine or dill rice. The servings of rice are huge! Dessert is also complimentary and is a fried dough drizzled with honey. Be sure to order a pot of tea with your meal. Jury's by ymike2000 Jury's is a comfy place to watch sports over a burger and beer. The service was good and the atmosphere friendly. The dining area is more elegant than the outside of the building would imply. During the summer months, you can also dine on the patio. On Mondays they have a "buy one, get one half price" menu.
WBBM Channel 2 has named Jury's Cheeseburgers "Best of Chicago".Even my server was enthusistic about the burgers. As I left he said "wasn't that burger great?" I can't deny it, it was awesome. Great atmosphere and the best place downtown to meet friends if you want to spend hours sipping wine, snacking on amazing olive or cheese platters and looking out on Michigan Ave.
For food, try the olive or Spanish cheese plates. They have 'flight' platters, which are sort of tasting plates. Nookie's Tree, Chicago by jglsongs In the heart of Boystown, Nookie's Tree is a glorified diner, but the food is great and it's probably one of the best low-key and low-cost brunch places in the neighborhood.
Anything on the brunch menu is worth having! What a pretty place, and a fun menu. We like places where you can order multiple starters, platters and take your time enjoying your meal. Try the tea -- it is delicious. Sample stuffed mushroom caps, dumplings, a mixed veggie platter. Oh yeah, and GREAT black bread on the side. I went with a cinnamon vodka for dessert....other diners seemed to enjoy the "flights" of three different 2-oz vodkas over the course of their meal! Well, perhaps if I didn't have business meetings set up for early the next morning!
We enjoyed so many starters that we asked to split an entree (two yummy squab in a black cherry sauce which they served us neatly on two plates!) chicago road trip folks happen to all wear black by lynlynn cafe iberico specializes in the regional cuisines of Spain. i visited cafe iberico during my first trip to chicago and it was my first experience w/tapas. tapas are almost like the spanish version of dim sum where they are little dishes you share family style, kinda like appetizers, kinda not. we were seated in the "sala medieval" room. loved the paella.
loved the: PAELLA MARINERA - Seafood paella made with shrimp, fish, clams, and other seafood in a special saffron broth. Leave a Comment

Menagerie w/the chef in the white by lynlynn charming little neighborhood restaurant. you can tell the locals visit often since the wait staff and the chefs new most of their customers. the staff was very friendly and food was good!
my favorites? appetizers: SCALLOP & OXTAIL - sounds like a strange combo but was surprisingly good! entree: I had the Grilled RIB-EYE - english pea, sweet corn and bacon risotto, marsala sauce. it was ok - maybe too much marsala sauce? it kinda drowned in the marsala sauce. Pan-Seared DUCK BREAST vegetable stir-fry, egg fried rice, cherry gastrique - someone in our party had ordered this and it looked REALLY good but she didnt share. she's a local and apparently she's had it before and obviously loves the dish since she didnt want to share. VENISON OSSO BUCO orzo primavera filled chile relleno grilled baguette, Dijon tarragon sauce - again, another dish the locals say is excellent, however they ran out of this dish the night we went. FONDU FOR TWO fresh fruit, truffles, cookies, cakes, molten chocolate ganache - what can i say?... a must order if you love fondue... Leave a Comment
