I'd like some earrings like this by garridogal This reminded me of Macy's in Herald Square in that it's an old fashioned Department Store of another era. This store has at least a couple of Escalator banks. One set around an Atrium and another around a Tiffany Mosaic Glass Domed cieling. I went to the cafe, in search of a cup of coffee, and when the elevator opened I was in an old-fashioned Store Restaurant. It was like stepping into the 1930's. I didn't get my coffee there but at one of the Starbuck's in the store.
I bought myself the cutest shoes that have pink and red flowers all over the platform wedges and a box of Frango Chocolates for my mother. Leave a Comment

One of my favorite things to do when I arrive in a foreign city is check out their grocery stores, whether it be to stock up on cheap water and soda, grab an inexpensive lunch or check out the candy aisle. Here are a few of the options for grocery shopping in Chicago, I've listed the locations closest to downtown: Jewel-550 N. State, 1210 N. Clark, many other locations-this is the major grocery store chain in Chicagoland, go here for the widest selection at the cheapest price. Apply for a Preferred Card to save a bundle (or say you forgot yours and usually they will give you discount) Dominick's-see website for locations-used to be the 2nd largest chain in Chicago, most of them closed but a few still exist, same as Jewel, they have a Fresh Value card similar to the Preferred Card at Jewel Whole Foods-30 W. Huron plus other locations-focuses on natural and organic foods, higher prices than Jewel or Dominick's Fox and Obel-401 E. Illinois (Near Navy Pier)gourmet food with lots of prepared foods, fun to look around Trader Joe's-44 E. Ontario plus several other stores, an eclectic mix of unique items, many under their own private label, lots of imported foods Treasure Island, in the neighborhoods, billed as a European supermarket Leave a Comment Theme: Food and Drink

So here it is ... by Glorija T.J. Maxx is a chain of American department stores owned by TJX Companies. It is the largest off-price apparel retailer in the United States offering brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, and housewares. All merchandise is at least 20 - 60% below regular department and specialty store prices. The company operated 771 stores at the end of 2004, and has further growth opportunities in the U.S. The average store size of a T.J. Maxx store is 30,000 square feet.
Looking for women's, mens and children's clothing? Designers but very low prices on selected items? Then visit this place ... You can find something nice if you really give a lot of efford into looking. Try to have a few hours cose it will took some time for you to explore the store. Leave a Comment

Outside the Macy`s building by Glorija Macy's is a chain of American department stores with its flagship store in Herald Square, New York City, which has been billed as the "world's largest store" since completion of the Seventh Avenue addition in 1924. The company also operates two other national flagship stores, at San Francisco's Union Square and the former Marshall Field's flagship on State Street in the Chicago Loop. As of February 2006, Macy's stores were organized into seven divisions with store locations in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam. As of February 2007, only Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Mississippi and Nebraska had no Macy's stores.

Fashion from the last season, mostly with a little - often unnoticable - production mistake, and from leading brands for reduced prices. You can shop till you drop always for a better and better deal. In the end you buy three items with little mistakes for the money which one regular items would have....you know what I am talking about. Ideal for the consciuos shopper. especially undies, socks, t-shirts
Anything, especially for Youngsters, which is desired in Europe.

Bobak's by dlandt Bobak's (I think means either Grandpa's or Ducky's) is actually two large Polish grocery stores. One is along Archer Ave and the other out in Burr Ridge. The one in Burr Ridge especially has a great restaurant and huge buffet. Here, you can find a lot of Polish goods, both made domestically and imported. They sell jars of soup, fresh and smoked sausages, pickled herring, sauerkraut from the barrel, Pollish beers, German beers, a variety of Central European wines, Polish sauces, Polish versions of hamburger helper, Polish newspapers and magazines, Polish hair and skin products etc. In the near vicinity there are Polish restaurants and shops of other types.
Polish foods and alcohol of all types.

The people in Chicago are very casual dressers. I found on Saturdays they all wear casual clothes. Flip flops, shorts and teeshirts are very common especially during the summer time when all the young people are out of school and hanging out. There are many many shopping malls in Chicago which sell almost everything and have all the high street fashion stores at great prices. A great place for shopping if you have little or loads to spend. Great bargains on camera equipment, ipods etc.
Anything designer if your fashion conscious. You get some great discounts on designer clothes especially if your trading in your Euros for dollars. The rate l got was pretty good. I also bought memory cards for my digital camera and paid 12 dollers for 128mb memory card. Books are also very cheap but its a problem getting them back home if they weight a lot. Lush by Dabs I originally heard about Lush products on a travel website, they were available only in London at the time and people raved about their fresh handmade bath products, made with natural ingredients. Lush came to the US sometime ago, the original store on Armitage opened in 2004 and since then they've opened retail outlets in Macy's in Water Tower, on State Street in Chicago and in the suburbs of Oakbrook, Northbrook and Schaumburg (not listed on their website but it is listed on Woodfield Mall's website and I have been there).
Lush carries soap, shower gel, lotions, hair products, skin care products and bath bombs. I love their Snow Fairy bath gel that comes out near Christmas and Pied de Pepper for my winter ravaged toes. Dream Cream is also nice as a hand lotion, a little too expensive for me to use as body lotion. Leave a Comment Theme: Bath and BeautyAddress: 859 W.
