This is on Navy Pier, looking back towards the city. Behind us is the huge 'solarium,' which is full of tropical plants and dancing water fountains. I love this view of the city, with the John Hancock Building in the background. Leave a Comment

If you are with a young child, don't miss the Children's Museum on Navy Pier. At present, the Children's Museum features the set of Sesame Street, plus many activities based the the show. There are also explorations of how water works(wet, natch) a dinosaur dig, a treehouse and cabin, a pretend food store, and much, much more. Leave a Comment Directions: The Navy Pier sticks out into Lake Michigan east of the Loop. There is a free trolley that runs every 20 minutes between Navy Pier and State Street, with many intermediate stops.Other Contact: Good places to eat on Navy Pier,

Walk around Navy Pier and go shopping on Michigan Avenue. Navy Pier is a nice relaxing place to hang out and do some people watching. There was also a beer garden with live music the day we went....and don't forget to ride the big ferris wheel! Leave a Comment

Even though it is definitely a tourist attraction, no trip should be complete without at least a walk around the pier and inside the shops. The IMAX theatre is located inside the shopping forum here at the Navy Pier. Leave a Comment Address: 600 East Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611Phone: 312-595-PIERWebsite: www.navypier.com

Tons of sculptures, a children's museum, a ferris wheel. Just a great place to hang out. The pier was first opened in 1916 for shipping and entertainment purposes. Then, during WWI and WWII it was used for military training. These days it's a great place to people watch and to grab a bite at one of the many restaurants. Also check out the Crystal Garden, a beautiful glass atrium full of all sorts of plants and trees. Leave a Comment Address: E. Grand Ave.

Tourist mecca that flanks Lake Michigan. Lots of restaurants, some shopping, games, and rides. Like a mini-carnival with no entrance fee. Leave a Comment Address: Just outside of downtown on the waterfront.

I was also impressed with what Chicago has done to the old Navy Pier. It was clean and featured a children's museum, a farris wheel with great views of the city, and a nice park with a fountain and modern art including this 'little red wagon.' Leave a Comment

You must take a ride on the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier. For the stunning views of the city - but silly me didn't take my camera up with me ! Leave a Comment

You should go to Navy Pier where is a children museum. It is a really good place for children where you can find everything for the children, such as a bookstore for children' books. Leave a Comment

Navy pier is only a small amusement park but you can still have fun in this place. From the ferry wheel, you can see the beautiful view of the Michigan Lake. Leave a Comment Address: You can go there by CTA bus from loop.
