Cahokia was the site of the largest Mississpian Indians settlements. There are about 109 mounds in and around the area.
There is a free movie that details the archaelogical research and there is a nice museum with artifacts and representations of what life was like for the people of Cahokia.
It is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is free of charge, although a donation of $2 for adults and $1 for children is suggested.

Small restaurant but always pretty much packed. The ambience is contemporary and laid back (nothing incredible either good or bad). The food, however, is AWESOME.
Favorite Dish: I've had the General Tso's chicken and the bamboo chicken which were both out of this world. On a lot of their meals you can specify a spiciness level between 1 - 4 and I'm working my way up the list with each subsequent trip.

The restaurant has a very cool ambience. Its an old mansion thats been converted to a restaurant a few years back so you can sit in a variety of different rooms in the house. I really like the setting and the food, but the service was probably as bad as anywhere I've been (I'll give it another shot and I'm hoping it gets better).
Favorite Dish: Everyone in my party had the Sea Bass and it was awesome!

This particular sno-cone establishment, i have heard is quite delicious... though i cannot say from experience, but a good friend i know in college works there, and seems to enjoy it. Comments from locals? (I only post this because i used to have family in O'Fallon for quite a few years).

Jerzeys is a good place to catch the game. Tell the bartender to dial up your game on any of the many TVs and sit back drink a beer. There are pool tables, darts and the place doesn't get too smokey even when crowded.

Eckert's Country Store and Farms located near Scott AFB is a great place to get good old-fashion home cooking. I went to the Belleville farm and had an awesome Country fried chicken steak with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. I added an equally delicious apple-pie with carmel sauce, YUM!
The farm has been in existence since 1837 and offers apple, peaches, strawberries, blackberries and pumpkins ripe for the picking. They take you out on a tractor bed and you go to town picking fruit. There is a craft store as well.
