This place is totally authentic Spanish (NOT HISPANIC) food, I take Spaniards there regularly and they are thrilled. Yum!!!!!

This is a cafe chain that we visited in Chicago. They have amazing sandwiches made on their original Cosi bread, which is kind of like a cross between a panini and a really thin sub sandwich...I can't really describe it:) Whatever it was, it was great. And it's a cafe, so they have excellent coffee and that fun cafe atmosphere; booths and comfy chairs, etc. Plus, they have a bar, so it's the best of both worlds! The staff was so friendly, it was an overall great experience!
Cosi bread sandwich and a cappuchino...yummmm!
(PS--I did find this semi-expensive; ie, more than McDonald's:) But it was Chicago after all, so prices are probably cheaper in smaller towns.) Leave a Comment

Faced with a long wait because of a delayed train, I wandered over to Seminary Street and happened upon Landmark and I am very glad I did.
In a cozy setting, this restaurant offers a wide variety of sandwiches, pastas, crepes, and desserts. There is a bit of an eclectic flavor to the menu, which was a pleasant surprise. Many items offer Canadian bacon or polenta or panini in addition to the crepes and waffles.
I had the Royal Canadian sandwich - Canadian bacon and Monterey Jack cheese on rye bread and it was delicious. Next time, I may give in and splurge on a waffle. Going to the Sears Tower or Union Station (ya know the one from The Untouchables) or maybe the Mercantile Exchange like Ferris Bueller? You can even walk to the Picasso at Daley Plaza from Lou's.
Trust me, go to Lou Mitchell's first!

The service is among the best in Evanston and stands high above the service in the Indian restaurants that line Devon Avenue in Chicago.

After I graduated basic, my family took me here to celebrate. This is a relatively nice restaurant, and the service is good. The food from what I can remember was good as well. It's nothing really fancy, just a plain local greek restaurant.
I don't remember, but all I can say is, whatever I ate was FAR better than what I had been eating for the past 9 weeks!! That I DO remember!!! Leave a Comment
