    Hummel Museum

by grandmaR Written Jul 31, 2003

Apparently the Convention Center also has a Hummel Museum as a part of it. I can't imagine anything more awful than looking at Hummels in gross, but a lot of people love them. For those people, this might be a 'must see'. I obviously haven't been to this place.

    Rosemont Theater: Concert venue

by Dabs Written May 10, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I've been to the Rosemont Theater twice, mostly recently for a free show sponsored by a local radio station featuring one of my favorite 70s/80s band, REO Speedwagon, who also happen to be local guys. We were allocated seats in the first row of the balcony (Section 203, row A) and while it gave us a nice unobstructed view, the balcony is set back starting after row W of the main floor plus a sizeable aisle so you're at least 25 rows back even in the 1st row of the balcony.

During the opening act we noticed a lot of seats open on the main floor so we slipped past the ushers and after a few people claiming their seats we finally found two around row F, now that's more like it.

If it's a show that you visually want to see, the balcony is just too far back. The sound was OK but for a rock concert, down on the main floor is where you want to be.

    Mayoral dynasty

by Dabs Written May 10, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If you think Mayor Daley of Chicago has a dynasty going, take a look at Donald Stephens who recently died on April 18, 2007. At the time he was serving his thirteenth consecutive four year term, having been mayor of Rosemont since 1956, he was Rosemont's first and only mayor. That's longer than Richard J. Daley and Richard M. Daley put together!
