Chicago Cab by ant1606 Moving around downtown is convenient by cab. Try to get rid of your own car and experience cab rides underneath the elevated train rails. You may even want to sing "Sweet Home, Chicago" while remembering the Blues Brothers movie.... On N. Michigan Ave. between E. Randolph St. and E. Washington St. there's a ramp down to the underground parking and that's where we parked for good. It may be a little expensive but a good spot centrally located for sightseeing. Right underneath Millennium Park. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Chicago is a large city but, similarly to many other northamerican cities, its downtown is conveniently small enough to get by on bicycle. Traffic is not too heavy and bikers shouldn't receive much hassle, anyway I haven't seen too many. Racks such these in front of Millennium Park are kind of rare though, their functional design being very interesting. Leave a Comment Theme: Bicycle

The Great River road by dlandt The Great River road is a group of highways that parallel the Mississippi River, covering a lot of history and culture from some of the earliest days of settlement. Brown highway historical signs are interspersed with small towns and interesting things to see. This isn't as classic as the histoporic Route 66. it is more along the lines of the Circle lake tours. Other routes are the Lewis & Clark Trail, and the Lincoln something or other. Follow these signs to stay on the Great River Road. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

This small ferry only costs four dollars to use and can handle four to eight vehicles at a time. I would have to say it is the smallest car ferry I have ever been on, consisting of a barge and tugboat. There aren't stay in your car rules or lessons in using a life preserver. It is a small, country ferry that takes you across the river at a point where there aren't any bridges. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
