Downtown Chesterton runs along Broadway and Calumet. Here, you'll find the oldest building and the most unique architecture. Visit the antique shops and try a few of the restaurants. Each has a unique flavor of its own. If you're interested in architecture, take a walk to the southwest into the resdiential neighborhoods. Old churches and homes predominate in the next several blocks from downtown.

This is a great shop to wander about, especially if you're waiting for a seat (seldom have to) at Popalano's across the walk. Lots of knick-knack and farm items.
