Downtown Chesterton runs along Broadway and Calumet. The heart of old Chesterton is the Broadway section. Like most railroad towns, it's one sided with the tracks making up the other side. The town is centered on the intersection of Calumet & Broadway. Here, you'll find the oldest building and the most unique architecture. Visit the antique shops and try a few of the restaurants. Each has a unique flavor of its own. If you're interested in architecture, take a walk to the southwest into the resdiential neighborhoods. Old churches and homes predominate in the next several blocks from downtown.

The Indiana Boundary area is the most common part of Chesterton that people visit. It's right off the interstate (I-94) at Indiana 49. Here you'll find a range of food (fast food to nationally recognized chains). Kmart, Jewel-Osco, Walgreens and Hallmark have stores here also. It's a one stop shopping and eating opportunity. Something for everyone. The places listed on the map, may have changed names by the time you visit, but the choices will be plentiful. See the map in the photo section

The westside is of interest for it's restaurants. The westside is connected to the downtown by Broadway. It's an easy connection and only a mile or two apart. Additional antique stores dot the length of Broadway.
