    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Indianapolis has all 4 seasons. If you come in November-early April you will need winter clothes and boots for rain and sometime snow. Summer is hot, fall and spring are the most pleasent times to be here.

    Toiletries and Medical Supplies: No special needed. All available here.

    Photo Equipment: Everything you need you can buy here.

    Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: No beaches here, so no beach ware.

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Well, winters are cold and windy... sometimes they get more snow here than a little north.. sometimes they get none! Basically, the advice in Indiana is this: 'If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.. it'll change!' I'm afraid there is some truth to that!

    Hehe, well, spring and fall are pleasant... summers are gonna be warm.

    Luggage and bags: sitcase and duffelbag -- overpack but don't overdo

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: prepare for some walking - several museums and a new zoo are within 1/2 mile of the center of town;

    In Indianapolis the weather is NOT consistent. Winter may be well below zero or 50 degrees and sunny and it can change from day to day. So use layers in winter, spring, or fall. Summer is normally hot and humid but June may be great or rainy. The Month of May with the Indianapolis 500 activities can require snow gear or a bathing suit (I've literally seen both from May 1 to May 31)

    Miscellaneous: Take pictures. that is always good advice but Indy is not about landscape it is about experience.

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For all trips to Indianapolis remember that the weather is very dynamic, so be prepared for several eventualities. In the winter, a heavy coat is a necessity; in the summer, pack for hot, muggy weather that occasionally breeches the 100 degree Fahrenheit mark.

    Packing List...for the Big City

    by Cabana_Boy Updated Dec 18, 2002
    The state of farming in the Corn Belt...

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Cold in the winter, hot in the summer...so dress accordingly

    Miscellaneous: Growing up in the country around Indianapolis, we had cow pastures and corn fields all around us. So, when I go to the big city, I like to take my cow prod and an ear of corn with me...

    from HOT to COLD

    Luggage and bags: Pack enough fo the season - temperatures can vary widely here

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: bring good shoes for walking. If you stay in the one-mile city area you don't need to use a car, bus, or taxi
