Brew Pub, Indianapolis
The brewpub fad has grown a bit tiresome now that anyone with a make-your-own beer kit thinks they can run run one, but this is one of the good one, and defintely worth stopping by if you're in Naptown. Great vibe in the bar and an excellent beer selection. Only one (small) TV so get your mates and enjoy good craic
Favorite Dish: I didn't eat here but my friends did and they enjoyed it. The Scotch Egg make for excellent beer munchies!
Good food. Plenty of good (clearly labeled) vegetarian options, which is actually surprising given the rather distinctive Hoosier atmosphere. Good local ales on tap. A little tough to find (though that might just be me) and parking, like everywhere else in Broad Ripple, is creative.
Mid sized and dark, it is a brewpub and you can look through windows right into the brewery and see the huge kettles of beer. The food is incredible, and the beer is great as well. In addition to the excellent porter, they make a very very good wheat beer.
Favorite Dish: Barbecue chicken sandwich with a side of potato salad and a porter beer.
