Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis
The Indiana Pacers are an NBA team that joined the league in 1976. Before that, they were members of the ABA. They have a colorful history that has seen championships in the ABA and successful seasons in the NBA. The franchise's all-time greatest player is no doubt Reggie Miller, who played for the team from 1987 to his retirement in 2005.
The Pacers play at the Conseco Fieldhouse (See my Conseco Fieldhouse tip for more info). Tickets are as low as $10 and there really is no bad seat in the entire stadium.
A Pacers game is definitely a must for sports fans who visit Indianapolis during the NBA season. It is worth seeing a game just to see Conseco Fieldhouse. There are plenty of things for fans to do during the games, and it is a very family friendly atmosphere. Indiana is a basketball state, so you will be among very knowledgeable fans.

Equipment: Parking is available all around the area, including many parking garages downtown. Conseco Fieldhouse is within walking distance from many hotels and restaurants.
We made a daytrip from Detroit to Indianapolis just to see the Lakers visiting Indiana. And it was worth every kilometre.
