Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, sightseeing, nature center and the old covered bridge are just a few of the things you can do.
For details see my Brown County SP page.
On Friday evenings, go to the Gnaw Bone Tenderloin, Gnaw Bone, Indiana. it is in an old Marathon Gas Station. They serve Breaded Pork Tenderloin on a Kaiser Roll and it is EXCELLENT. Then in the garage bay where you eat there is a Blue Grass Band that plays EXCELLENT foot stomping, music. There is a lady on the Bass Fiddle, a guy on a guitar and a fellow who plays guitar and banjo, another fellow who plays several instruments and if she is there a young lady who plays a mean fiddle and sings.
A drive through the area and on the back roads presents views of vast valleys at the foot of tall wooded hills, home to the natives of the past centuries, the Indians of Indiana. Indiana means land of Indians. High tourist season is the Fall when the leaves are most striking.
Most women come to Nashville, IN to shop for little gift items!
I'd say it's a tourist trap but one man's junk is another's treasure. If you like ruffles, candles, and country items you'll enjoy this. There are a few places I like but not with ruffles.
Take a look around at some interesting architecture.
1900th century American architecture, well-maintained.
