barobins Says:  On Friday evenings, go to the Gnaw Bone Tenderloin, Gnaw Bone, Indiana. it is in an old Marathon Gas Station. They serve Breaded Pork Tenderloin on a Kaiser Roll and it is EXCELLENT. Then in the garage bay where you eat there is a Blue Grass Band that plays EXCELLENT foot...

Breathtaking Scenery

Breathtaking Scenery, Nashville

highlandlaura Says:  A drive through the area and on the back roads presents views of vast valleys at the foot of tall wooded hills, home to the natives of the past centuries, the Indians of Indiana. Indiana means land of Indians. High tourist season is the Fall when the leaves are most...

gkitzmil Says:  Most women come to Nashville, IN to shop for little gift items! I'd say it's a tourist trap but one man's junk is another's treasure. If you like ruffles, candles, and country items you'll enjoy this. There are a few places I like but not with ruffles.

You can eat here if you'd like..., Nashville

gkitzmil Says:  You can eat here if you'd like but I like to go into the bar in The Season's. If you get one of the two window booths you can look at the hills and the trees. Very peaceful and a draft beer is only $1.75 for domestic including a couple of Michelob offerings the inset picture...

Oh, boy -- during the week the town is dead by 10 pm. Weekends you may find music in the Pine Room (first stoplight EAST of town, turn south - directly opposite Season's lodge and behind the McDonald's and kind of a local place or at the Brown County Inn. Ask when my friend Don Pedigo will be playing. He's a very good singer!
The Brown County Inn is built to look rugid but don't let this photo fool you. The place includes a convention center.

Still beautiful but -- those trendy little shops, Nashville

gkitzmil Says:  While Nashville has a certain small town charm and is nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana, it could easily be called a tourist trap! You CAN find artists and craftspeople in this little town. And you can also find lots of trinkets from everywhere! If you come on...

The whole town is a tourist..., Nashville

royharper Says:  The whole town is a tourist trap (and I mean that literally) in October and early November. 'Trap' because it could easily require 2 hours to simply drive through Nashville at peak shopping season. My advice it to avoid the town altogether at this time of year.

Off The Beaten Path

Bean Blossom Covered Bridge

Bean Blossom Covered Bridge, Nashville

Toughluck Says:  Located about 20 miles north of Nashville, the Bean Blossom Covered Bridge is on the 'old main' road between Bean Blossom and Nashville. Entering Bean Blossom from the south, it will be the 1st left and that's a left-backward turn of about 130 degrees. [45 degrees is left...
