    Patoka River

Fondest memory: As a boy we lived fairly close to the Patoka River.I spent a lot of my time roaming the woods and playing along the river .This is a photo taken from Severn's Bridge a few years ago.The bridge is now closed to traffic as it is considered a hazard to vehicles.
There is a dam that made for a great swimming hole!

    Open fields & country roads

Favorite thing: Visit one of the remaining covered bridges and the countryside surrounding Princeton.Mostly off the beaten path type stuff. If you come to Princeton you are off the beaten path.

Fondest memory: This is home and where I grew up.It is a small community with a slow-paced,easy going lifestyle (ususally). After living in San Diego and fighting the traffic and high prices,I decided this is more to my lifestyle.I like the country roads for a relaxing cruise out into the country.

Favorite thing: Gibson County Fair. The county fair is one of the highlights of activity in Princeton that lasts for one week and has an attraction for nearly everyone.Carnival rides, games, exhibits, fair queen contest, tractor pulling contests, and big name entertainment, and lots of good food can be found here mid summer at the Gibson County Fairgrounds.

    Patoka River at Patoka,In.

Fondest memory: Fishing in the Patoka River usually was a futile effort, but it was getting back to nature.I would take my kids hiking down the river road and skip rocks across the river.
