M Mogger's Brewery: Oldest Brew House
It is a historical land mark and a microbrew!! Two for the price of one...
M Mogger's Brewery was founded in 1837 and stayed in business (after joining Terre Haute Brewing Company in 1889) until 1953.
Its a comfortable locals place, with some good food and plenty of beers to choose from. Possibly the biggest beer menu in town.!
Dress Code: Completely casual.

Verve Sonkas TKsTap Room: Nightlife exists
There is night life in TH! Besides Sonkas Irish Pub--which is sort of a local "Cheers" just east of downtown. Tthe Verve nightclub has live Blues most weekends and a cool atmosphere -also in downtown. TKs sports bar is more local/sports bar/after work crowd but if you like that its fun-it in the north industrial park. The Tap Room is connected with the Terre Haute Brewing Company. They found the original (early 1900s I think) recipe of Champagne Velvet beer and have added other microbrews to the menu. Cool atmosphere with a lot of historic photos. The Dawg House, just south of downtown has marginal atmosphere, but makes up for it by having really friendly staff-again a mostly local crowd, but not your typical chain.
Dress Code: all casual
Tap Room: One of the OLDEST BREWERIES IN THE U.S.
LIKE DRINKING OLD-TIME BEER IN A MUSEUM !
IN 1837 a brewery was established in this building. Mike Rowe and wife Terri have renovated the property and are brewing an early recipe of beer from this site along with 2 others + root beer
The only bar worth going to...
The only bar worth going to (in my opinion) is SOnka's Irish Pub.
It's the best bar in Terre Haute, and the only one i ever went to. Frequented by many people, but especially a large number of Rose-Hulman students, it's relatively small, has a good beer selection (they pour a GREAT Guinness there!), and nice people. There's one pool table as well as some darts. Basically, it's best for the atmosphere.
Fridays from 5-7pm are Free Munchies. If you're lucky, you'll be there on a day that they have their Meatballs as a free munchy.
Dress Code: None.
