We like to take a walk or drive around Deming Park when we have the time.
There is a very relaxing little pond there. A large playground, and an arboretum.. The Arboretum is home to more than 300 hollies. At Christmas time the park is set up with many displays from different groups and you can also visit Santa there when he is in town.

This is a great place to take the kids. Inside Fowler Park are two lakes, a campground, picnic shelters, playgrounds, trails, and a pioneer village. The pioneer village consists of 14 buildings plus a log barn and a working gristmill. The campground, open May 1 - October 15, has 59 modern sites and 16 primitive sites. The Wilderness Area, covering 300 acres, has two lakes, four ponds, and four plus miles of trails. Fishing, boating, camping, hiking, swimming in season, picnicking, pioneer village tours. Boat launches and rest rooms.

The ArtsIlliana sales gallery has original art for sale form regional artists on Wabash Avenue. And the Swope Art Museum has an amazing collection of American art in a renovated art deco building, again, right in downtown TH. Local coffee shops Coffee Grounds and Java Haute also feature original art on their walls.
