There are only a few ways to get around Indiana. the best is probably by rental car, which gives you the most options. There is a bus system in Indianapolis called Indy Go, but I am not sure how extensive it , but if you are traveling on a budget then check out the bus system as an option. Of course their are always taxis, which can put quite a dent in the wallet. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by traveldave Located southwest of downtown Indianapolis, Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is the only major airport in the State of Indiana. Other than some flights to Canada, there are no direct international flights, so anyone coming from another country or continent would have to connect through a major international hub before continuing on to Indianapolis. Several major airlines serve most American cities, however. Airlines serving Indianapolis International Airport: Air Canada Jazz, AirTran Airways, American Airlines, Cape Air, Comair, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Frontier Airlines, Midwest Connect, Northwest Airlines, Northwest Airlink, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways. Horse Drawn Carriage by pabertra A great way to see Monument Circle and other parts of downtown is by horse drawn carriage. Carriages go for about $30 for a half hour and are very fun and romantic. One company I'm aware of is Yellow Rose Carriage. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by miner There are several interstate highways crossing Indiana.Unfortunately they all seem to be under constuction constantly. Indianapolis has an international airport and Evansville has a regional airport. The only transportation I have used is by car or truck. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

You fly into Indianapolis International Airport, most major airlines fly there. Of course bus also works and limited train service. Car is a must.... Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Hmmm.... you could fly into Indy (Indianapolis) or drive in from one of the million expressways the cross the state. An interesting route would be to take the Wabash River upstream from the Ohio/Mississippi River or downstream from the middle of Ohio. Car. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

They Call Indiana 'The Crossroads of America' for a reason. There are many Interstate highways here that all seem to lead to Indianapolis, but every major city in the state is on at least one Interstate.South Bend's Airport is a combination Airport\Bus Station and is nice for Flying into Northern Indiana but you have to get a Flight first from Chicago or Detroit. The Indianapolis Airport is a Major Hub for USAir and ATA and is never crowded. I recommend Driving here and I think the only reason to fly to Indiana is if you're on the East or West Coast where flying is a must. With all the Major Interstates here,There is no part of the Country that cant be reached from here.
