At the entrance to the park is a covered bridge, rescued from destruction. It's been on this site, but was in disrepair until a decision to replace it or fix it had to be made. Today, it's a part of the local road system.
When the wind is blowing gently through the trees and the sun is shining, a walk in the woods can be a great joy. It was spring and the breeze was cold, but not nippy. We took a short hike that lead through the campground. It was great, as there were few people around and those that were, had fires going, and the smell of wood smoke mingled with the remains of breakfast were a wonderful touch when added to the warmth of the sun.
