Yes, you can visit the hotel. The upper floors are retricted to guests, but the grounds and retaurants (about 4) are open to the public. If you've never seen anything like this (and I don't know where it would have been), come in, sit, relax, eat and stroll the grounds.

The Historic Landmark Foundation offers daily tours of the hotel. The tour starts at the main gate on route 56, goes through part of the grounds and ends inside the hotel in the domed room. The guide said the walk was about 1 mile and is handicapped accessible.

70-minute tours occur four times a day, 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 4 p.m., at each hotel. Offered daily year-round, except Christmas day.
Cost:
$10 per adult, $5 per child 13-18, $2 per child 6-12, free for children 5 and under.

Unfortunately my only photo is one that is obscured by trees, after the tour ended I had planned on going back out for more pics but it started to rain.
This was one of the spring houses in art deco style, the interior has not been renovated so you are not allowed inside.

Until 1963, when the Houston Astrodome was built, the West Baden Springs Hotel's dome was the largest in the world, 200 feet in diameter, 100 feet in height.
It took 277 days to build it in 1902 and 30 months to restore it in 1996-98.

This building was used as the bowling and billards hall. The interior is not renovated but you can take a look inside and imagine what it might have looked like.

This is the entrance gate to the West Baden Springs Hotel which announces that it is the Carlsbad of America. In the center of the arch is the mascot, Sprudel.

According to the www.preserveindiana.com website, it dates back to 1917 and may have served the wealthy patrons staying at the resort.

Inside the grand lobby is the beautiful fireplace estimated worth around $1 million!
In the right hand corner you will see Sprudel, the gnome "mascot" of West Baden Springs Hotel.
