Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: I hate the midwest... :) Well, anyway, it can get really, really cold in the winters and the wind never seems to stop blowing. It gets pretty dry too. In the fall, expect cool weather and rain. Spring, same thing for the most part, but spring is much windier (thanks to the plains). Summer is hot and humid (ok, it's not THAT hot always, but it can be... generally stays around mid- to high- 80's). Oh, so, pick your clothes based on that. There are very few places where you'd have to dress up for, so keep that in mind when packing.
Miscellaneous: This doesn't look like much snow, does it? Hmmm... well, we do get our fair share at times... even if it is right before spring at times. Ok, this isn't exactly the UP of Michigan... it's not even Chicago! This is just typical midwestern snow!
