Take your place in a crowd and support your favorite baseball team! In Dreams everything is possible! Even for Cubs to win the world series! At the entrance to the site you can buy some souvenirs like t-shirts and similar.

Worth to drive a couple of hours from Chicago to see the place where Field of Dreams movie (Kevin Costner et al.) was released. If you close your eyes you can see Shoeless Joe and his pals.

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The Field of Dreams sits on the Lansing family farm. Owned by the same family for the last 95 years, it is not uncommon for members of the family to be seen walking amongst the grounds greeting its visitors who come from literally all over the world. Behind the backstop is a guestbook that everyone is welcome to sign. I noticed entries from as far as Australia and Malaysia. The generosity of the Lansing family cannot possibly be measured. The field requires thousands of dollars annually for maintenance and upkeep and they charge no admission fee to visit. The only income the field generates is from souvenier sales, private donations, and the very pockets of the Lansing family. Despite all of this, the field is still available for all to enjoy. They even allow you to go on the field and play ball and even walk into the cornfields like Ray Liotta did! Every time I watch my Field of Dreams DVD, or when the movie is brought up in conversation, I can always say that I played on that field!

The menu ranges from appetizers to prime ribs, a little something for everyone. Before 10 pm it is a nice family dinning atmosphere after 10 becomes more of a bar atmospher. This definately a place where you feel comfortable to relax with a cocktail and enjoy yourself. Friendly waitstaff/bartenders. Over 20 imports to choose from as well as a large variety of liqure.

Favorite Dish: BBQ Ribs (1/2 rack or full rack) Tender and spiced just right!

A good place to get a meal after you've been to "The Field Of Dreams". Features "home cooking". A typical small town cafe, it has a wide menu for such.

    Open 7 days a week.

Favorite Dish: There was a small buffet that was pretty good.

If you don't know, some scenes from the movie were taken in Galena (west Illinois). This is not far away from Dyersville so you can stop there on your way to Chicago or other cities on the east.
