You are able to explore one of the Upper Midwest's most scenic all-season trails. This trail is 26 miles long that follows a once bustling railroad. It goes into a 450 foot deep valley past old mining and mill towns. It's made of smooth, compacted crushed limestone that is ideal for bicycling. It cost $2.00 per day or $10.25 per year [ages 12-61] or sixty cents per day or $5.50 per year for persons 62 and older. You may buy trail tickets at area sports and bicycle stores, businesses adjacent to the trail, or at self-registration tubes located at the trail parking lots. Horses and motorized vehicles are not allowed. There can be no fires, camping, or unleashed dogs. It is only open sunrise to sunset year round unless otherwise posted. It includes the towns of Dyersville, Farley, Epworth, Graf, Durango, and Dubuque. More information is available at: Dubuque Chamber of Commerce 3rd & Main Street, P.O. Box 705 Dubuque, Iowa 52004-0705
You need a bike and helmet. The Trailhead offers water, parking, and picnic facilities. Leave a Comment Theme: BikingPhone: 563-557-9200 or 1-800-798-8844

Veterans Memorial Stadium by DueSer The Cedar Rapids Kernels are the Class 'A' ball club for the Anaheim Angels. They play their home games in CR at Veterans Memorial Stadium on the SW side of town. This is a great place to go on a hot summer's night and have some old-fashioned fun. Minor league games are often more fun than major league games because there isn't quite the ego bruising going on. The food is good as well. There's a hot tub in the far outfield that if a ball lands in there, you can win prizes. And when "premiere seating" costs only $10, it's an inexpensive night out too and that's always fun. Leave a Comment Theme: Sports WatchingAddress: 950 Rockford Rd. SW., Cedar Rapids, IA 52404Directions: Exit Interstate 380 at First Avenue and then head west to 15th St and turn left. The stadium will be on your left.Website: www.kernels.com
