Bronson Travel Guide

The Chicken Shack has a good reputation locally but I have not eaten there. It is only open on Friday and Saturday nights and Sundays. I have not been to Bronson at the correct time to stop for dinner. It is the only place to eat there.

Highway 54 approaches Bronson from the east on a curve. As cars come around the curve they see a sign that says 30 miles per hour. The speed is 65 miles an hour then drops sharply down to 30 miles per hour for a few hundred yards and goes back up to 65. The Bourbon County Sheriff often waits near the curve to give speeding tickets. I have seen a lot of drivers getting tickets in this exact same spot so I am always cautious. On my last trip near Bronson I noticed some citizen had put this sign up as a warning to others. I wondered if he had been unfairly ticketed there.

This mural is on side of building for the Bronson Locker down town. Across from this you can read the bulletin board at the City Hall for an idea of local goings on.
