I've always liked this great clock in Iola. It should be sitting in a clock tower. Having it down at ground level makes it more interesting.
There is a window to see inside of the big clock. It is the next photo in my must see activities.

If you are looking at the clock you will only be a few steps away from the Memorial. Take a look at the memorial also and the names on the little wall below the flag.

This is the boyhood home of General Funston, a local hero. He grew up in Iola. The house is next door to the local historical museum. House and museum are only open from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm each day.

These are the gears of the grand clock in the park near the main street. I've seen these big clocks before but not to look inside of one.
