brdwtchr Says: Gas, Kansas is near Iola. There is no seperate VT page for Gas. The residents of Gas seem to have a sense of humor. The water tower is painted red like a can of gasoline and it says 'Gas Kan' instead of 'gas can'.

brdwtchr Says: In this photo is the old jail. Much like the jail in Nevada, Missouri this was built strong to keep prisoners in. Such sturdy construction has kept the building in nearly original condition without major repairs. The jail is about one block from northeast of the courthouse....
