Rusty's Last Chance...casual and fun!

I have Rusty's at my restaurant tips for their pub food. So for more info on what kind of food they offer see the page there.

Manhattan being the college town it is, looks to Aggieville for some evening of frolicking fun. Chance does get crowded in the evening and sometimes during the summer and winter holidays it just depends on what is going on.

The bartenders are really quick with the draw, but be prepared to wait for your drinks when it is packed. There is a small dance floor and a dj booth that plays 80s and newer music. You can also make requests if you are very nice. Occasionally they will have a live band playing.

Rusty's has a casual rustic look about it with a lot of k-state and other sports knick knacks.

Dress Code: Casual but you are also there to be seen as well as for the great drink specials!

Fast Eddys in Aggieville

Okay this place is not fabulous looking but they offer pocket billiards, a small area for video games, some decent food (nothing really to write home about), and an assortment of alcoholic bevies.

This is a great place to hang out, pass the time (no...not gas), snack on some of their fries and play a little game or two. The really best thing that has come out of that place is "Cody's Revenge". Ohhhh yeah, that is some good stuff!

Now for you alls that don't like the prissy mixed drink, or have a high alcohol tolerance, you will be floored with Cody's Revenge. It's sweet and it's deceptive. I don't know what's in it, but I do know what it does. And it's good.

Almost every week there are 9-Ball and 8-Ball tournaments.

Dress Code: casual and comfortable.

Silverado's (Silverado Saloon): Yep....another country bar!

Silverado's in Aggieville

On most nights Silverado's is a country bar belting out the most popular top 40 country tunes and occasionally some good old country music with DJ in tow. However, on those nights that they bring in the the occasional live band coming through, you can hear the sounds of Pomelroy or Ruskabank belting out a song or two as well as any up and coming local band.

The wooden dance floor is recessed and in the center of one large room with two bars. There is a stage here somewhere but I couldn't see it amid the rhinestones and blue jeans. I don't recall anyone really doing any country swinging...mostly line dancing and such.

18 and up to enter.
There is a cover charge.

RC McGraw's: Country is...as country does.

Yee-haw!

Formerly named, Kickers, McGraws is a country bar outside of the Aggieville crowd. They have a kitchen that serves up basic American pub food.

Occasionally there are live performances that make an apperance at McGraws. There is a moderate size wooden dance floor and tv screens but the screens are for keno.

There are karaoke nights. Nothing better to do than to hang with a bunch of friends with a pitcher of beer and sing the country blues. Lots of locals go out and just go to karaoke night and sing for the fun of it. It's a really great way to cure yourself of stage fright or make it worse.

The price for pitchers are reasonable.

With the exception of special events in Manhattan, McGraws does not get full. This place is definitely where the locals hang out.

Dress Code: If you don't want to look silly...dress casual.

Rusty's Last Chance Restaurant...

Rusty's Last Chance Restaurant & Saloon.
It's the happening spot in the heart of Aggieville. Patios out front and back, great Barbeque, excellent sports watching in the OutBack, and 'No Cover, Never Had It, Never Will' make this THE spot for cold beer and good times. They have Pool tables, darts, dance floor and a stage. From the front patio people-watching is at its finest in the heart of this college-town nightlife mecca. The smaller 'Outback' portion is chock full of TVs showing every game you can name. And there's no cover even if there's live music.

Dress Code: Casual to Country, Elegant to Hayride, sooner or later you'll see it all at Rusty's.

This is your typical sports bar, but it seems to be very popular and apparently they have all kinds of specials, but since I am only there on weekends, I don't know--will update soon.

Dress Code: whatever--more casual than dressy--it is a sports bar
