Gambinos is a small franchise of pizza parlors you'll see around Kansas, based as they are in Wichita.
Pizzas with a choice of crusts and toppings, pasta, salad, calzones and sandwiches are on offer for lunch and dinner. If you go to the Gambinos company website you can find a branch and print off a coupon:
They are available for dining in or carry out orders 11-9 daily (till 10 on Friday and Saturday) although they do shut at 8 in the winter months. Discounts are available on some dishes during lunch, 11-2.
Favorite Dish: It was nearly 8pm on a weeknight and the sidewalks were just about rolled up by the time I rolled in, but I was able to help myself to a salad, a fresh mini pizza and soft drink with free refills for about 8 bucks.
The folks running the place were very friendly and keep the restaurant clean and welcoming.
There's a nice atmosphere inside and it was great sit down and admire the pressed tin ceiling.
Favorite Dish: At Marion's Old Settler's Days celebration the last Saturday in September I saw these kids selling 'pocket tacos'. It was seasoned taco meat put in to a small bag of doritos corn chips or fritos. There were other people on the street selling baked goods and snacks during the parade.
I can't say enough good things about the Kingfisher Inn. We got excellent food and excellent service there at a very fair price.
KingFisher Inn is on the edge of the Marion County Lake. From our table we could see part of the lake while we ate.
Favorite Dish: 'Tidbits' are a kind of appetizer for $2.50.
