Bella Cucina: A Great Stop For Coffee and a Bite
We stopped here for a quick coffee and a bite on our way to pick up some new goats for our herd. It turned out to be a good thing.
The counter staff was friendly and well trained. The coffee was good and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. It was clean and the food a fair value.
The windows in this restored storefront right on main street give you a great view of the small town goings on.
Favorite Dish: The coffee of course I had a breakfast burrito and it was very nice. Barbara had a pastry with her cup o' joe.
The only down side is the American habit of plastic wrapping pastries. I feel this ruins some of the nicer aspects of pastry. But to be fair this is an out flow of the American obsessiveness with sanitation.
Do not mean to discourage you.
They serve lunch and dinner but I have not had a chance to eat a full meal here.

The Barn And Underground: Historic Barn with historic bad service
Although this restaurant is unique (restored barn turned restaurant) The service is horrible. servers can be rude, food orders take forever, and management does not care. I've eaten in both the upstairs and downstairs areas. upstairs service is horrible, downstairs you have a combination of a very loud bartender who talks about innappropriate things for the whole room to hear, and the restaurant owner who gets drunk and as the owner does not act in a professional manner at all. When I looked up this restaurant one of the descriptions said "fine Dining"......I would really like to know who thought that. Sure they have dishes like prime rib and ribs and steak....our table had the 14oz T-bone, 10oz Prime rib, and santa fe chicken.....both the t-bone and prime rib had to be sent back because it was not cooked to the desired temperature (They asked for medium and it was really red on the inside like it had been cooked before it was fully thawed so after it was done the outside was tough and dry)
The person who had the prime rib said that it had way too much fat on it and it tasted like they cooked and entire portion of it and just reheated it. The santa fe chicken is what i had.....the rice that the chicken sat on top of was gross and the chicken was extremely dry. Overall....I wouldn't recommend this restauant to someone for even a free meal.

G Williker's: The local sports restaurant in town
G Williker's has a couple of locations in Kansas. It's theme is sort of like a local sports bar. They serve many of the usual bar foods - burgers, steaks, sandwiches, etc. and beer and appetizers. There are a couple of televisions in the place to watch sports on. A nice place to relax and see some local sports history on the walls.
Favorite Dish: Chicken fingers basket
This huge antique mall is...
This huge antique mall is about a block west of Main street near down town. It has a restaurant inside. I had pie and coffee there. Tons of neat old things to see. There are even full size cars inside the building.
Pizza Time: Second or first best pizza place in town
Good pizza delivery place. Used to be a mexican restaurant, but changed their theme unfortunately. Still good pizza.
Favorite Dish: Pizza, pizza, pizza
Pizza Village: First or second best pizza place in town
A typical pizza place. Not your pizza-chain cookie cutter taste, but good local style.
Favorite Dish: Pizza, pizza, pizza
