Perry State Park Travel Guide

It was a blustery autumn afternoon, and I was out with my dog for a long drive and some walks and sightseeing. Mid-afternoon I realized that I had not yet eaten and was quite hungry. Being near to Perry Lake, I decided to drive over there and see if there might be a restaurant near the marina. Fortunately, Molly McGee's was there, but it was to be closing down for the season the next day. Everything went just my way as I had a wonderful burger, great service, and could sit on the deck overlooking the lake with my canine sidekick.

Favorite Dish: Burger and fries. Not the fast food kind, the thick, juicy kind.

Fondest memory: I've only been to Perry a couple of time, but have enjoyed watching my children and their cousins learning (or trying) to water ski. I also get a kick out of watching sailboats. Sometimes the Kansas winds can make sailing a challenge.
