Parks, Wichita

Wichita has many nice parks. Riverside Park near the museums has all the usual park facilities plus a Kansas Wildlife Exhibit. It is like a miniature zoo with animals native to Kansas in it at the park.

If you like sports you can watch them in Wichita also. You can watch Wichita Wings play Soccer. The Wichita Thunder is the ice hockey team. There are college athletics to see in Wichita. There is also a Greyhound Park. In this photo you can see Becky with the mascot for the Wranglers.

Becky and I went to the Wichita Greyhound Park to watch the dogs run. It is a big nice facility. No photos are allowed inside so I took this one of Becky in the parking lot next to a bronze greyhound. She is holding her form book and her winnings. We watched 5 races and Becky picked the winner 3 of the 5 races. I lost every single bet I made. Inside the park is a booth where you can adopt a retired racer.
