The Syndicate and Cicero's Nightclub are my favorite places to go. You may enjoy great food at the Syndicate with it's original atmosphere and make-up. This will enchant you to go back in time.
Then you can walk next door and move to the music, meet great people and welcome the excellent decor. You feel right at home when you walk into the cigar room, filled with arm chairs and sofas.
If you have a special occasion planned you may also reserve the glass club room, which is located right next to the dance floor and has it's own private bar and bartender to fulfill all your needs.
In the early 1930's, at Prohibition's stormy end, America's rich, famous, infamous and elite were following the good times and easy money to two small towns across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. Riegning as the country's illegal gambling center, Newport and Covington, Kentucky were alove with plush casinos, exciting nightclubs, and big name entertainment.
On the shadowy flipside of the glitz and glamour, local club owners, out-of-town mob kingpins, local politicians and law enforcement were embroiled in a deadly struggle for power.
During this turbulent period...when the sounds of music, laughter and the clink of gaming chips were shattered by police sirens and gunfire, Glenn Schmidt's Playtorium was born.
Today, renovated and renamed, The Syndicate recreates the spirit of those exciting days gone by. We invite you to experience and enjoy The Syndicate...The Music, the Food, The Era.

Along the Ohio river you'll find a variety of Nightclubs and Restaurants. The unique thing is to watch the Skyline while you dine or party. Here is another one of my favs:
The Waterfront - Great place to go in the summer time! See why below.
This five-part waterfront complex consists of two restaurants: the casual Italian, Spazzi and the upscale, South Beach Grill. There's only one bar called The Lookout Bar -- picture tropical themes abounding with a waterfront view of the Cincinnati skyline (you now understand why there's only one). Two dance clubs pump up the more agile crowds: the upscale Fusion and Las Brisas -- an outdoor venue complete with palm trees, waterfalls and live music. If you should be visiting Florence around Halloween, be sure to check out the 'USS Nightmare' at Covington Landing.
This 'haunted boat' experience is tons of fun and will make the hair on your neck stand up. There are 3 stories you have to indure. Before you get on deck, mummies and ghouls will give you the first eerie feeling before setting foot on the boat itself. This shipwreck is very 'real' looking and the staff does a great job every year with special effects and make-up. Once burried my face so deeply into Juan's shirt at the sound of the chain saw that I just felt the air from the blade over my head! Not to worry though, after all, these are just special effects...or are they?
You'll go in dressed....you'll come out stressed.
