Experience the Keeneland track before the hustle and bustle of the race day. The horses are warming up on the track, fun stuff for the kids (pics in jockey silks), and a decent breakfast ... a great way to experience Keeneland.

I have a book that says for the sushi its worth the drive from anywhere else in central kentucky. I suppose this will become my sushi-fix place then.
Looks like a lot of people from the Toyota place here.
Favorite Dish: Good sushi.
Have to go back for some more.
Bad waitress.
Maybe I'll get someone different next time.

Went again. Different waitress. Still bad service.

The patio is the best place to eat during the day.
Favorite Dish: Squab...its was the most amazing dish!
Extremely tender and flavorful. Made me
think of what I would like most steak to be like.
Foie gras, normally my favorite, was not so
good here.

Kashmir's has THE BEST Indian food in town. It's lunch prices are well within reason (about $5-7) and it has a lunch buffet everyday. This isn't a chain, it's the real deal. The atmosphere isn't much to speak of, but the place stays busy because of the food.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Korma

TRUMPS II SPORTS BAR & GRILL
This is where we hold our (informal) soccer tournament meetings. The food is great, the waitresses are (mostly) fun and beer is not too expensive. Pool, interactive quiz screens and numerous TV's.
Favorite Dish: Fish Sandwich (approx. $5.00)

SPUDS GRILL & TAVERN
Spuds is probably classed as my local pub although they do some good food too.
Favorite Dish: My favorite items are the Buffalo Wings ($5.25) and the Smothered Chicken (approx $8.00) but I've been told that their Crab's Legs ($4.95 for 1lb) and Frog's Legs (75c a pair) are well worth trying.

BUCKHEAD MOUNTAIN GRILL
My favorite restaurant in Lexington. Reasonable prices, quiet atmosphere and humongous beers.
Favorite Dish: Sampler Platter (baby back ribs, potato skins, buffalo wings, celery)
Monteray Jack Smothered Chicken (with sides)

Mi-Mexico, Rincon Mexicano, and Jalapenos
Believe it or not, Lexington has some of the BEST authentic Mexican food you will find north of the border. For many, many years now immigrants from all over Central America have been coming to central Kentucky to work in the tobacco fields as migrant workers. Over the years many of these workers have permanently moved to the region with their families. Some of these families have opened up restaurants featuring fare from their homelands. Mi-Mexico, Rincon Mexicano, and Jalapenos are all wonderful examples of restaurants that have started this way. Each offers very good food and drink. You cannot go wrong by dining at any one of these establishments.
Favorite Dish: Fajitas!

Malones is owned by Bluegrass Hospitality Group and serves some of the best prime beef in Lexington. While there are several other Malones in town, we are partial to the Lansdowne location.
