Levi Jackson State Park and Daniel Boone National Forest are some places to visit while in London, KY. I know that Levi Jackson has a camping area and that they have a couple of trails that are fun to wander through.

Golden Corral has one of the largest buffets I have ever seen and they usually have coupons in the travel guides so you "buy one, get one half price". They have hot and cold sections for lunch which include: chicken, pot roast, meatloaf; mac and cheese, rice and mash potatoes; fish fillet, tuna fish and shrimp; corn, beans, carrots; applesauce, coleslaw, salad.... just to name a few items. Throw in some buns and brownies and a large coke; for $12 you are stuffed.

The decor is non-existent; basically a big open room with high ceiling and some posters for color. But the service is fast even when they have crowds at lunch time.

We have been to these places in several States and they are all just about as good as this one.

Favorite Dish: just about everything in the buffet

London, KY is just about averge for crime risk in all crimes except murder. In the last five years, murders in the area have put London well above average for risk for that crime.

The Historical Society in London was one of the most positive experiences I had while visiting. We wanted badly to visit there, but we were only in town for about 3 days and they were not open during the times we could be there. However we'd seen a note on the website saying that they could open it other times if you asked. Well, we did, and they opened it later that same day for us! They were also very helpful as we researched our family's history! Definately a great place to visit if you are into history.
