Many great places depending on your age and interest...Dietrich's on Frankfort avenue is a popular drinking place/restaurant with a cabaret atmosphere and sidewalk seating. It is located in a converted theater and has a very unique and interesting interior.

Hey, for decent bar food, and some fun, go to Oliver's Billiards on Dupont Circle, right off Breckenridge Lane. There are over ten tables there, and games cost $3 USD every night except Tuesday and Thursday when they only cost $1 USD. Under 21 allowed until 10 or so.
Nothing special. just a place for 21+ to hang out and play pool.

Lucky Strike is a franchise that is found throughout the US, but the Louisville location has the advantage of being located right in the heart of the Downtown scene. Its Fourth Street location makes it a convienent spot for a drink after work, or a party with a few of your rowdy friends.
You have two options when it comes to the bowling side... per person rates or a lane rental per hour. The per person rate ranges from 3.95 to 5.95 depending on what time, and the lane rental is $45 on weeknights, $65 on weekends. Shoe rentals are $3, and there are also billiards tables. Definitely a locals spot, not for tourists, generally, and if you are clean cut and well dressed, you might not fit in, but I recommend the Back Door Bar.
