According to the website "The KentuckyShow! is the only production of its kind in the nation. This thirty minute presentation is an exciting, multimedia portrait of the entire state of Kentucky that celebrates the uncommon story of the Commonwealth. It is a “first-see” for visitors and a “must-see” for all Kentuckians."
I found the history interesting, the soundtrack was stellar, and the photography was beautiful - but I thought $7 was high for the experience. After all, this is a "chamber of commerce" type film touting the riches of the various areas of the state - shouldn't they be showing it for free at the visitor's center?
Unique Suggestions: KentuckyShow! tickets are available at The Kentucky Center Box Office.
Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon – 5:00 p.m.
Presentations on the hour
Tickets: $7.00, Students and Seniors: $6.00

Churchill Downs makes Louisville a very popular place once in while, and when it comes to Kentucky Derby, all the stops are pulled out. Since parking can be a tad atrocious, many of the local residents will allow you to park at their house for a fee. Be careful however because some charge extremely high rates. On a day where free parking was available at the track, people were out holding signs for $20-40 dollars!

If you, or your kids, feel the need to go to an amusement park, Louisville has a decent park, known as Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. Admission is over $30, I'm sure, but during the summer months you can bring specially-marked Pepsi Products and get $5-$10 off admission. To get to Kentucky Kingdom, take the Watterson West to Preston Highway, get off and follow signs.
