There are 55 miles of hiking trails north of the Green River and 23 miles South of the river. I only hiked a few short trails near the cave/visitors center. There is also a bicycling trail, fishing, boating/canoeing and horseback riding in the park. Three trails: The Heritage Trail; Sand Cave Trail; and the Sloans Crossing Pond Walk are wheelchair accessible.

Where: Jesse James Riding Stables

what to do: Alpine Slide, Horse Backriding, Go Carts, Bumper cars, Miniature Golf, Rock/Wall Climbing, Bumper boats, Jumping Trampoline, & even get an old time photo.

cost: $16 per hr., the other activities are $4-$5 each

The trail riding was pretty good. The horses are beautiful and the trails are fairly interesting. The only bad part was that our tour guide hit on my friend the whole time. It made everyone feel a little uncomfortable and he was trying to show off with his horse infront of her. So beware of the tour guide without any front top teeth.

The people that run this place are pretty great, very helpful and quite nice. But one word of advice: Ask them about the River! Is it high or low? This is very important because if you happen to take a canoe trip while the river is low like I did then you will completely regret it. We took the shortest trip, 7.5 miles in 3.5 hrs. Since the river was low there wasn't flowing and we had to paddle the whole time. It wasn't very fun and felt like a work out. I was told that in the spring is the best time to go because the river is high and it is pretty easy to even take the 15 mile trip. It is quite beautiful along the river and there are several places to pull up to shore to be able to do some swimming.

Fall Special: $40 for 7.5 mile trip

Equipment: Remember take stuff to drink and some sun screen.
