Paducah is serviced by a regional affiliate of Northwest Airlines, which connects to Paducah through Memphis. Paducah's airport, which is named after former Vice President Alben Barclay (a Paducah native who seved under Harry Truman), is small, with only one gate. However, it is a very user-friendly facility, with a snack bar and waiting area. It also has Hertz and Avis rental car counters, if you need a car while in the Paducah area.
The other aviation alternative is to fly into Nashville, Tennessee, and then rent a car and drive two hours northwest to Paducah via Intersate 24. It is an easy drive, which takes you though mile after mile of rolling farmland, and also passes through the Land Between the Lakes (Barclay Lake and Kentucky Lake) recreation area.

This holds true anywhere you drive, but, you have GOT to keep an eye on the other drivers around Paducah. I have driven here for a long time and have avoided many accidents because I know that many drivers here don't know that when the traffic light for them is red, it means stop. Running red lights or speeding up to make a yellow light happens far to often. So, don't be too quick to take off when your light turns green.
Simple advise but something to be aware of around here.
