It is a pleasure to walk through the streets of downtown Breaux Bridge. The normal 5 minute walk can take up to an hour sometimes because there is always something new to see in the gift shop windows...or, a friendly greeting can turn into a ten minute chat with a friendly local.

Crawfish Broil

The Crawfish Festival is celebrated in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. People travel from neighboring States to enjoy good food and lively music. The Festival is held every year on the first week end in May. The usually, quiet little town comes alive with the sounds of Zydeco and Cajun music.

Bayou Cabins: As close to the culture as you can get, Breaux Bridge

Don't be surprised if your table is quaking like a class 4 earthquake from the people dancing zydeco-style inches from your table. Famous people are allowed to sign the wall. It is worth an early drive out of Lafayette.

Favorite Dish: I recently went to their renowned Zydeco Breakfast and loved it. The breakfast was great, I had a crawfish au Gratin Omlette that was scrumptious.
