NEW ORLEANS IS NOT MARDI GRAS, JAZZ FEST, AND ONLY GOOD TIMES. WE STILL HAVE CARING PEOPLE HERE WHO DO NOT DRINK, PARTY, DANCE, OR DO DRUGS!!
Don't be shocked by the sleeze....at first it is a little odd but you get used to it. Also it is not fancy...French Quarter is well used, dirty and a smell looms all day.
Summer will greet you with intense humidity. Shower, then walk outside and you feel like you need another one immediately.
The big happening in New Orleans is the famous carneval Mardi Gras . I were luckie enough to be there once , during the carneval week end and I enjoyed it.
