If you are out for a hot toddy or something to warm you up on a winter night, try out the Landing on Front Street. They have moderately priced drinks, and also some wonderful bottles of wine.
Although we did not drink on this trip because we were driving, we did notice a few people enjoying the spirits.
They even put wine right on the table, so you can take a picture and look like you have been sipping on some wine!

A good place to stroll and see lovers romancing on park benches at night is the Natchitoches Cane River waterfront. At Christmas the lights glow and the fountain continues. Concessions sell waffle cones, a powered sugar covered confection that's serve hot. Lattes and hot chocolate are also sold, and in the summer snow cones and soft drinks are apparently available. Horse carriage rides at reasonable prices of the historic quarter continue into the night even in winter.
Dress Code: Casual. Dress warm in winter though as temperatures can drop into the 50's at night.

This truly is a festival of lights. As I mentioned in my introduction, i would highly recommend taking a few minutes out of your busy travel schedule to stop in and enjoy the festival on the water in Natchitoches.
As you drive down Front Street, you will see all the time and preparation that is the festival.
Enjoy it!
