O'Flaherty's Irish Channel Pub, New Orleans
I frequented this bar while in New Orleans for a week. Our ghost tour ended in the courtyard of this pub with a story of a young girl who fell out of a 3rd story window to her death by the fountain. The drinks were excellent here along with the live irish folk music. I'm not sure if there is live music every night but the 2 times I was there it was.

UPDATE: Sadly, O'Flaherty's closed after Katrina. We peeked through the gates on the last visit.
ORIGINAL: When you've had it with all the craziness, hurricanes, hand grenades and Voodoo Daquiries on Bourbon Street, go to O'Flaherty's on Toulouse and have a Guinness! It's a great Irish pub, with a nice courtyard. They also have live Irish music, and supposed to be one of the best pubs in the US.... but I just enjoyed the beverages and the laid-back atmosphere.
The courtyard is nice and the old smoothly worn bar inside is not so bad either.
Here they will pour you a nice Guiness or serve up some Pub appetitzers.
There were actually a few Irish folk in there last time I went in, perhaps they got to drink free.
Most nights have bands playing Irish music as well.
Dress Code: wear some green, ye tacky tourist!
