Pat O'Brien's, New Orleans
Go to PAT O'BRIENS. Every visit to French Quarter must be started with a visit to Pat O'Briens. Their specialty is the Hurricane drink. It's a huge drink that will get you drunk very quickly!!
They had some great shrimp appetizers! Coconut with pineapple sauce.. Yumm...
right. It's a tourist haven, but even the locals recommend Pat O'Brien's as one of the most fun spots in the City. It is a French Quarter mainstay providing a touch of atmospheric class and fine glimpse of N.O. nightife. The 'Hurricane' is the Pat O's signature. It's a billboard announcing that you are a tourist, however. Not that being a tourist is bad. Not at all. Wish I were touring today, in fact. Their Bloody Mary is the best in New Orleans.
624 Bourbon St
tel: (504) 588-2744
Another good spot, in the Uptown district, is PARKWAY TAVERN: 5135 Canal Blvd., 488-2500 late-night social institution with no-frills atmosphere and a large enclosed patio. Mid-City professionals, theircollege-age counterparts, and a few working-stiffneighborhood regulars into a main bar area devoid of tables to accommodate
the late-night crush of social drinkers; wooden benches along the front wall are the only concession to comfort. Walk through two rooms to enter the expansive enclosed patio where the real action is.
When to Arrive
Late nights, especially Thursday through Saturday, are packed. The cocktail hour
(5pm-8pm, weekdays) is more relaxed.
Pat O'Brians was great, but it was packed when i was there every time. The Cat's Meow on Bourbon is great too.
Pat O'Brians has the traditional Hurricane as well as everyone else, but the fountains and the courtyard make it worth your while .

Pat O'Brien's ROCKS!!!!!!!!! Pretty much anywhere on Bourbon Street is the place to be. Men will especially enjoy most of the window displays.
Pat O'Briens is a piano bar with the most amazing piano man alive. The crowd goes crazy all night long. I recommend the Hurricanes, but be warned they are STRONG!!!!
Pat O'Brien's is famous for its Hurricane drink. It's actually equivalent to at least two drinks. No visit to New Orleans is complete without having one. It's a true Louisiana classic.
