If you love New Orleans and enjoy relaxing with a good book you will love "French Quarter Ficton", a collection of short stories all set in the French Quarter. The genres range from romance to horror to sci-fi and humor and nearly all of the stories are well written and entertaining. The authors range from previously unpublished New Orleanians to Andrei Codrescu and Tennessee Williams. Highly recommended.

If you get down to NOLA anytime soon you'll hopefully be able to catch them filming K-Town. Right now its a pilot show about New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Can't really tell much from the filming but it was pretty cool to see them doing it...
If you are a 'MTV REAL WORLD' fan such as myself, you can track down the old houses, the cast meembers lived in... I found the Belfort mansion that Melissa and the other folks lived in!
If you are a fan of literary fiction, you may want to see the house of Anne Rice, who wrote Interview with a Vampire.
